Central Park

It was beyond beautiful and what I imagined it to be, also extremely huge and so much to take in all at once. The way of all the trees and buildings collided, bringing the best of both worlds together in the busy bustle of everyday life. Our visit was short and sweet, we only visited the inner city area and Brooklyn and I swear we only saw a little of what New York has to offer. You'd definitely need more then a few weeks to enjoy the city properly. What I can tell you from our short visit is that you'll fall in love with the architecture and fun food and coffee shops on every corner. My negative experience would definitely be the lack of personal space and mean people, I like to think I'm a pretty optimistic person, so its something you'd need to either ignore or grow some thick skin for. I would love to go back and trek the streets again soon, the photo quality of the fun buildings and streets captured my heart... and the pizza... the PIZZA stole my heart.<3 Xoxo - Poitrina

New York

Its nothing like what I expected, its busy, intense and beyond beautiful, the architect is breath taking and theres always something beautiful to look at. For the past couple of days we've been wondering the streets, eating the delicious food, shopping and site seeing. We've been putting in the steps, trying to walk to most of the places we want to see but of course catching the subway if its to much of a walk. We made it out to Brooklyn for some delicious pizza and of course sure seeing, even though it was cold and windy we were distracted by the beauty. I'm going to have to keep this post short and sweet because we're off on our next adventure. <3 Xoxo - Poitrina

Ocean Views

Hello loves!!! again and again its bin far to long, story of my busy life as a mom to a very rambunctious almost 1 year old. Recently we went on a very long family trip, 11 days of visiting around Canada and part of the USA. It was mainly exhausting because we decided to drive down as a family... let me tell you those mountains right before Vancouver are insanely dangerous and scary at night. Any who long story short, we got to visit some very beautiful places along the journey. Including Victoria to see my very best friend whom I miss very much. I told her we had to take time to do a couple photoshoots. I found a beach when we first arrived and fell in love. The drift wood and beautiful white washed trees against the stone beach was everything. I knew I couldn't leave without taking photos here during the golden hour. I picked up the few pieces I'm wearing along the way, the cute brown shirt is from Forever21 for $24, the black hat was shifted from Seattle at a Value Village I managed to sneak to before we left. The jeans are an old pair but a favourite because they are very stretchy and the distress on them are perfect. The big oversized cardigan was a thrift from our city at the Stonebridge Value Village as well as the booties. I decided on a boho chic look to blend in with the gorgeous settings of the laid back beach vibe... Victoria stole my heart and I hope one day me and my little family will move there.<3 Xoxo - Poitrina

Rebel Rebel

Some more old renewed trends, this jacket reminds me of Bane off of Batman 100%! I must say I'm digging the look and vibes it gives. You all know already I thrifted this bad boy for a whopping $5 from Value Village on one of their half off days. So to find something trendy for more then half the price I'm all for it, I'm sure these are around 30-50 dollars depending where you buy it new from. With it being a dark brown I decided to do all black with this look OF COURSE! All black everything everyday for this girl lol. (I may have a problem) The boots, can we just take a minute to drink them in? They're so comfortable and trendy, the fun shiny patent leather is very trendy right now and I found these bad boys online at Aldo for $60 on sale of course. I hope this inspires your inner bad ass Bane! Xoxo - Poitrina. <3

Hoarfrost

Hello beautiful people! check out that hoarfrost, isn't it beautiful! it was all over our entire city with the gorgeous fog today. This is my most favourite part of winter and thats probably it lol. I thrifted this cute letterman style jacket from Value Village and I'm in love with it because it has my husbands favourite number on it and the colour is just so eye catching. This look is my take on the whole athleisure trend, somewhat casual and somewhat dressy. Decided to pair a bunch of red to tie it in with my fun thrift find. Keeping todays post short and simple because I have to stuff my face and snuggle our sweet pea, but I hope this inspires your thrift and your dressy casual self! Xoxo - Poitrina <3
