Scholar

I apologize for my long period of absence, it's been a crazy year, finally moved into our new beautiful home and settling in nicely. I was inspired by my chic scholars out there, I added a little sass with no pants some sexy knee high socks and my blingy necklace. My hat added an 80's vibe which I'm obsessed with and my oversized denim jacket I finally found also gave my entire outfit that little bit of jazz I was looking for. I'm obsessed with my grandma loafers I found at Aldo, they're a mixed fabric which makes it more edgy, they can be dressy and casual. I hope my 80's chic scholar outfit inspires you. Love: Poitrina <3 Xoxo

Autumn

Spring, summer & fall are my three favourite seasons of the year, i'd love winter too if it didn't stay for a whole 6 months of the year. The colours are vibrant and breath taking, its like a sunset all over the ground. The layers upon layers of clothing you get to wear to keep warm, meaning you get to wear all your favourite pieces instead of just one piece in the summer. My outfit totally has indie rock vibes, from the denim jacket right down to the knee high socks. The denim jacket is making a huge comeback this season. I swear they are every where I shop, the thing i'm obsessing over the most is the boyfriend fit (still need to find one). I picked mine up at platos closet for a whole $12, it has the levi vibes for half the price. I decided to keep my colour scheme in my outfit to warm fall tones. I've also died my hair and pierced my septum and i'm now married lol, i'm obsessed with how my hair looks against dark colours and collides with the colour of fall. I hope this inspires your inner indie. Xoxo - Poitrina.<3

Tropical Dreams

With a ton of more free time I was able to finally shoot some photos for the blog, I miss taking photos and posting where I find my affordable finds. With my crazy wedding and honeymoon now over I'm currently only working and looking for our forever home. Which means I have a ton of more free time to blog and do the things I love to do, such as reading and taking photos of my beautiful family and friends. I was inspired by the bright sun shining down on us, I wanted to wear something bright and funky like my cute palm tree shirt I found at Forever21 in Mexico on our honeymoon. I paired it with my skirt from American Apparel to give it a more casual look. To give it that little extra something I had to wear some cute chunky heels it really made the outfit a bit more vintage/modern giving it an eccentric vibe. I hope you enjoy the look and the scenery where we shot. Xoxo - Poitrina <3

Tulum

We just returned from Mexico for our honeymoon, it was blazing hot and beautiful. I'm beyond tanned and a little exhausted because we were there for two weeks straight. Everyone we met was extremely nice and so much fun, we've made many friends on this trip who we hope to meet again in the future. My favourite part of this other then everything was exploring Tulum with my husband. It was beautiful, the old ruins were breath taking, I loved every hot minute of it. Just being able to stare at what was left of the buildings and wondering how it used to look when it was flourishing with the people and culture thousands of years ago, learning about how they used the calendar and the way they used honey to heal many things. How each building was a house and the way it was built showed how wealthy they were, how the holy priests were only aloud to live in the temple, the way they sacrificed different people for different things. Some were cruel and some were volunteers, learning about another cultural background is interesting to me. Also can't forget the beach just below it all where they traded their goods from people who crossed the seas, the beach was breath taking.enjoy I was captivated by it all and would love to visit the other ruins eventually, here are some snaps me and my husband captured on our adventure there, I hope you enjoy them.. Rebel

Hello my lovely blog followers and die hard fashionistas, I've been Mia for a number of reasons and I'm sad because of that. Blogging my favourite hobby but I honestly just haven't had time with wedding planning, moving and I just had my wisdom teeth removed! So I plan to try and post more regularly once my life is a little less chaotic! ;) this look is from the archives that I forgot to post a while back, I know I'm terrible lol (bloggers have a million secret photos) so I decided to look up a few that have slipped my mind. This look is my rebel with a cause! Finding you fab ladies affordable fashion near you! My cheap find was this cute hat, I bought it for a whopping $5 at Urban Planet, I love the chain detailing around it because you can remove it if your not feeling that whole accessories on a hat deal. I kept the look black, white and grey because they all tied in together from the shoe to the jacket or the chambray to the hat.. Family colours always work together, I love the look of different greys coming together. I hope this inspires your rebel with a cause.. Xoxo - Poitrina <3
