Sibylline

Coming at you with another great find! I found this burgundy gem at the annual sidewalk sale at one of my favourite local shops Tonic. Originally it was $78 and I got it for a steal of a deal at $25, it was the last one and it fit me and the baby belly so I couldn't leave it behind. Even if my belly makes it short I can always pair it with jeans or leggings as a long shirt for the fall. I'm obsessed with my straw hat I got from Aldo, its very structured and large which I love, I must own this hat in at least three different styles now. Decided to accessories black to tie in with the brim of the hat, of course I had to pair gold in there to add to the warmth of the outfit. Keeping this post sweet and short, I hope this inspires your fancy boho self! Xoxo - Poitrina <3

Baby boho bump

My ultimate favourite trend is boho, the simplicity of comfortable flowy outfits wins every time. I found this yellow beauty at winners, at first I was extremely hesitant on purchasing it mainly because I wasn't used to the yellow. Thankfully my little sister was there to encourage me to take it home with me and give it a chance. The day I wore this I received many compliments and enquiries on where I found my this sweet piece. Surprisingly at winners, it was the last one and in the size I needed for my expanding baby belly. After we took the photos against the greenery with my lighter locks contrasting against the yellow I was happy I didn't leave this dress behind. Decided one pairing darker accessories to bring out the burgundy designs, to top off the look I went with a nice dark lippie. I know winners can be a little overwhelming but its always worth a good look over, I always find my favourite key pieces there. Hope this inspires your inner boho. - Poitrina Xoxo

Pregnant In The City

Hello Loves, Can I just start with how hard it is to dress a growing baby bump! you'll find the cutest top or dress that fits nice in one spot then every where else its swimming on you. I know theres pregnancy stores, but they charge an arm and a leg for one or two items and I only have another 3 months to go. So other then the jeans and shorts I bought I kind of just want to buy everything else thrifted or at least reasonably priced. I was on the hunt for this denim skirt for ages, I found it while thrifting with my girl at VV for $5. Its super stretchy and will grow with my expanding belly. I'll also say that oversized shirts become your best friend, I tied this one in a knot so it wasn't overwhelmingly baggy on my outfit. Just because i'm pregnant doesn't mean I have to live in moo moos lol. I still have to maintain my rebellious side every now and then.. I hope this inspires you to keep doing you, baby bump or not.  Xoxo - Poitrina.<3

Summer 2017

Hello beautiful beings!!! i'm starting to feel more like my old self since we're entering into our second trimester. Making humans is no joke, but since my energy has returned, me and my friend decided its time to get back into photos full throttle! Now that my baby belly has made an appearance i'm getting more and more excited to style it. Since i'll be pregnant all summer I get to live in everything flowy and i'm so excited. This is our first baby so theres so much to learn and think about other then just fashion, moms if you have any tips you've learned along the way i'm all ears. I kept the look very simple and the accessories very cute and summery. Im obsessed with my back pack I found at Zara a couple months ago, so simple and easy to pair with everything. My straw hat I bought last year from Le Chateau and it's still one of my favourites. I found this comfy cute romper at Bluenotes, I bought it large so we can grow into it since it has a stretchy band around the waste. Heels these days are a lot harder to rock with the aches and pains so I paired it with my short chunky heels from Aldo (now on sale). I hope this posts inspires your inner simplicity and summer vibes.

Winter Vibes

We have been blessed with some very beautiful weather the last few days and me and my friend have been taking full advantage of it by adventuring out for some beautiful and fun winter photos. We all know this place (if your a saskatoonian) is one of my favourite places to shoot. In the summer its flourishing with beautiful flowers and green leaves. in the winter its a beautiful small ice-pond for skating with some loved ones. I love how the wood contrasts against the white snow. Ever since I dyed my hair i've been gravitating to black more and more. Decided to spice up my half top knot with some braids, it was frustrating and time consuming but it was worth it. I found this sweater at winners and I absolutely love it, the lace up is super fun and sexy, but the hood and texture keep it more relaxed. Paired with some of my favourite ripped jeans and my black bomber to give it some bad ass appeal. I hope this inspires you inner sexy badass boho. Xoxo - Poitrina <3

Boujee

Faux fur is making a major come back, especially in many more colours and designs!! For example this yellow number me and a girlfriend stumbled upon at a favourite local shop called Tonic you can also shop their online website called www.farminista.com if you live out of town which is super convenient. I always go there for me staple pieces to build my closet around. Obsessed with this find I've decided to do a series of how to style a staple piece by pairing this fabulous yellow faux fur jacket with a few different styles. The first look is a bad ass rebellious look paired with a band tee and some sexy chunky booties, personally my favourite outfit. The second look is a bit more dressy relaxed, the thigh high boots give it a bit more sex appeal but the t-shirt dress gives it a bit more relaxed vibes paired with the beanie, then jacket pulls it together and gives it that boujee high class look. The last look is my ghetto fab, decided to keep the pieces simple and laid back, pairing my timbs with a ripped shirt and some pleather leggings giving it a more chill vibe, my trying but not trying look lol. I hope this inspires you to shop local and to look for the staple pieces.

Winter

It was a beautiful day outside to adventure the city and find fun spots to shoot. The Bes in Saskatoon is to die for, this is where we took our beautiful wedding photos, it has so much beautiful nooks and details we just had to sneak in here. Even though it was only -7 I still layered up, I was inspired by the tall spruce trees and snow sprinkling their branches. I found this cute cardigan at Adrenes the other day and decided to build my outfit around it. I knew some denim would give it that fun winter layer. My hair was a hot mess so I just decided to wear a beanie, I wintered it up a but more with my plaid scarf i'm obsessed with at the moment. Nothing says winter more than these big chunky boots I bought a while back from spring. Also how flippen cute are my sunnies, they are so massive and shiny, I have a very round face so its hard for me to find ones that work for me, Tonic has amazing hidden gems like these sun glasses. Hope this inspires you to layer up in style. Xoxo - Poitrina <3
